2022 The Solar Project
In order to feed and care for our children we need to provide a safe and stable environment, food and clean water for our volunteers and children to be able to thrive day to day.
With the support of Shoe Dawgs and Shire Oak International, long term assistance to the facility is being supplied by installing a solar power system to be added to the roof of the building to save the Hope Center $870USD per month on running costs.
For every $250 USD contributed 1 solar panel is donated and installed of the 84 solar panels total that are required.
In 2021 with your generous donations…
The Hope center was able to renovate, extend and rebuild their kitchen after a gas fire caused damage, improving the cooking space and safety for volunteers helping to feed the children.
Additional donations also paid for the digging of a water well, to better support Hope Center’s fruit and vegetable garden.
The garden now supplies 80% of Hope Center fruits and vegetables.
